You don’t have to put the headlights on, you can just put the park lights on, or most cars put the running lights on when you turn the switch to “on” – delay for a few seconds before you energize start just a light draw on the battery to start the flow. If your battery is long in the tooth the draw from the headlights could be the difference between starting or not in the cold

I bought a 2009 Honda CRV knock sensor from Auto Zone and the check engine came back in 5 minutes. Mechanic advised to buy from dealer. I paid much more for the sensor at dealer but the check engine did not come back on. It worked with dealer part.

I don’t have CVT problems. 148,000 on my Japanese made Nissan Altima 2.5s coupe. I do the oil and drop the CVT pan every 60,000. Runs great with a couple engine part replacement. Mostly preventable work.

We have bought a couple of alternators from AutoZone that turned out to be complete garbage. The labor to change it our in our Hyundai SantaFe made it a very big job, for a junk alternator. I have now learned that many of their alternators fail at install.
